The Taylor Lab

Like our science? Want to work with us? We are interested in working with enthusiastic students and postdoctoral scientists. We aspire to be a multidisciplinary group, and welcome applicants from all fields of biology, physics, engineering and computer science.

 

Graduate Students: We are looking for prospective graduate students with a strong background in cell biology, biochemistry and/or biophysics. Grad students will be registered with the International Max Planck Research School (IMPRS) for Infection Biology. The lab is committed to giving graduate students active mentorship and training in the scientific, personal and leadership skills required to succeed in academic and non-academic job settings. Prospective applicants should send a cover letter, complete CV (with the contact details of at least 2 references) to taylor 'at' mpiib-berlin.mpg.de.

Master Students:    We currently have a variety of projects looking at the molecular dynamics of immune signalling pathways. Students in the lab will receive hands-on training in single-molecule imaging, image analysis, and cellular engineering approaches developed in the lab. Applicants that are experienced/interested in bioengineering, biophysics, biochemistry, cell biology, as well as the physical, computer and engineering sciences are encourage to apply. Student looking for masters projects should send a cover letter, complete CV (with the contact details of at least 2 references) to taylor 'at' mpiib-berlin.mpg.de.

Post-doctoral candidates: We seek highly motivated and independent post-doctoral scientists. If you are interested in working with us please send a detailed description of your background, your scientific interests, and motivation. We are also interested in knowing what projects you would like to pursue in the lab.
